SPLATA is the heavy, 140-plus BPM side of Los Angeles DJ and producer Tristan ChantZ. He calls the sound Wubstep and BnD: wobbling bass music and drum and bass pushed down into the sub frequencies, played with paint-splattered, anything-goes energy.
Recent releases include COME WITH ME on Muti Music, FEEL THE WUBZ and I LIKE MY BEATS SLOW on Lower Viiibrations, and FROGZ. As Tristan ChantZ he has released on Dim Mak, Space Yacht and North of Neptune, and played Avalon, LIB Festival and Catch One.
