Functional potter who throws and sculpts high-fire and low-fire ceramics, with glazes mixe
About
Clarice M.W. Judah makes fine pottery, both thrown and sculpted, and describes herself as a functional potter. She works in high fire (salt and soda firing) and low fire (raku and pit firing), and mixes her glazes batch by batch from scratch.
She is one of three artists who use Oakbough Gallery in Carmichael as their home studio, along with Wes Omoto and Michele Judah Saylor. The studio-gallery shows changing original art and holds open houses; dates are on the gallery's website.
