Darrci Robertson

Darrci Robertson makes whimsical clay art and says, "I am an optimist by nature and use art to create happiness." Houses appear often in her work, standing for comfort, support, kindness, love and enjoyment; recent pieces include fish, figures and tiny houses.

She took oil painting lessons at around age 13, then attended the California College of Arts & Crafts, where she fell in love with clay while working alongside Viola Frey. She later studied with ceramic artist Yoshio Taylor and became his teaching assistant. She has worked as a gallery manager and curator, and offers workshops listed on her website.
