Jeffrey Grau
Ceramic artist and architect sculpting boats, vessels and figures.
About
Jeffrey Grau is a ceramic artist and practicing architect who works out of clayARTstudio 814, a ceramics workshop in East Sacramento. His sculptural work centers on boats, vessels, figures and architectural forms.
His architectural training shows in his attention to structure, balance and proportion. Through clay he explores ideas of shelter, journey and human experience, often in response to current world events, pairing structural clarity with expressive form and color.
