About
Marc Cardinet started out making sculpture and paintings, moved into multimedia light shows and later leaded glass, and has since returned to painting as his main medium. His abstract work in acrylic, mixed media and collage ranges from small 6-inch collages such as "Star Gazer" to large canvases like the 48-by-96-inch "Ghost Ship," "Archipelago" and "Past Midnight."
He earned an MFA in sculpture from Cal State Fullerton and worked as an arts lab technician before refocusing on painting. He works from a studio in Sacramento, takes commissions, and hosts a video series called "Marc's Conversations with Artists."
