Jayna Gyro
Folsom Blvd Mediterranean counter for hand-stacked halal beef and lamb gyros, chicken gyro pitas, falafel bowls, Iskender and Greek fries.
About Jayna Gyro
Jayna Gyro is a Mediterranean spot on Folsom Boulevard, started by owner Yusuf Topal in Emeryville to share the flavors he grew up with. The East Sacramento location is led by Demetri Gregorakis, a first-generation Greek restaurateur Topal mentored. Beef and lamb gyros are hand-stacked in house, the chicken gyro is the signature, and all meats are USDA-certified and halal.
Gyro meat, roasted chickpeas or house-made falafel go into grilled pitas, lavash wraps or bowls with greens, tomato, onion, tzatziki and spicy aioli. Plates include Iskender over fried pita with tomato sauce and yogurt, keftedes meatballs and a roasted half chicken, and there's a ground lamb burger and a vegan Beyond burger. Greek fries with feta, spanakopita and pistachio baklava round it out. It's open late most nights, with online ordering, rewards and catering.
