About Jet's American Grill & Bar
Jet's started in 2020, when Jet Bonanno came home from college during the pandemic to help care for his younger brother and began cooking out of his parents' kitchen for delivery. After the city shut down the home kitchen, the family ran a food trailer, then opened this Midtown bar and grill on 20th Street in December 2021, when Jet was 22. It is still family owned and operated.
It bills itself as a late-night restaurant and is open every night until 2 AM. The menu leans on cheesesteaks (ribeye with onions, mushrooms, jalapenos and provolone), a King's Chopped Cheese, pastrami, wagyu burgers like the Outwest with bacon and onion rings, skillet mac n cheese and a long list of loaded fries. Most of the big items come in vegan versions made with Impossible patties and vegan cheddar. There are cocktails and beer at the bar, plus takeout, delivery, catering and private events.
