Zelda's Original Gourmet Pizza
Chicago-style deep-dish pizzeria on 21st Street since 1978, with weekday lunch, nightly dinner and a classic cocktail list.
About Zelda's Original Gourmet Pizza
Zelda's has been baking Chicago-style deep dish on 21st Street since 1978, when founder Zelda Breslin brought the style to Sacramento. Pies come in 10-, 12- and 14-inch sizes with a thick, cheesy build and flaky crust, with house standbys like the Combo and the spinach-and-broccoli Spinocolli, plus spaghetti with Mama Cimino's meatballs, a meatball sub and wedge or Caesar salads.
After a short closure in 2024, new owners reopened it with the longtime kitchen crew and the original recipe. The bar now mixes classics like the Negroni, Paper Plane and Last Word, alongside Bogle wines and draft beer by the pint or pitcher, with happy hour pricing, Wine and Dine Tuesdays and monthly pairing dinners by reservation. Vegan cheese and non-deep-dish gluten-free options are available on request, and they cater.
