Jaime Lee Dempsey

Jaime Lee Dempsey runs Blue House Designs, a one-woman wood studio in Sacramento. She comes from a family of furniture builders and artists, and the business grew out of refinishing furniture and making wood art for family and friends. Wood burning is her main medium, often combined with acrylic paint, wood stain, carving, epoxy pours and inlay, frequently on black walnut.

Her work includes wood-burned wall art set in vintage or found frames, live-edge tables made from fallen trees or a client's own tree, serving boards, coaster sets and custom furniture restoration. She aims to use locally sourced materials where she can and takes commissions. "I stand by my work and love producing pieces that make someone say, WOW!" she writes.
