About
Judy Jacobs, who signs as JJ, is a Northern California painter working mostly in acrylics and oils. Her subjects are quiet ones: chairs, bowls, fruit, flowers, serene landscapes and looser abstractions. She describes her recent work as speaking "more from the heart than the head," and puts it simply: "I don't aim for perfection, I aim for feeling."
She has been painting for close to three decades, stepping away from the studio in 2016 to rethink her art before coming back to it. Her work hangs in homes and businesses around the country and overseas, and she also works in glass, hosting small Cut and Sip fused glass ornament workshops.
