Cut paper, painting, metal and interactive work by a longtime Verge studio artist.
About
Roma Devanbu works across cut paper, painting, metal work, interactive electronic pieces and installation. Her work often looks at the urge to make art and the power of belief and habit, using symmetry and pattern and favoring sincere, heartfelt gestures. She holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA from Pratt Institute, and spent a year studying art history at Maharaja University of Baroda in India.
She has been a studio resident at Verge Center for the Arts since 2011 and an artist member of Axis Gallery since 2014, where her solo shows have included "Stone Doily" and "Paper Medium."
