Delta King Hotel
A 1927 paddlewheel riverboat moored on the Old Sacramento waterfront, now a 44-room hotel with river and city view staterooms.
About Delta King Hotel
The Delta King was christened in 1927 and made daily runs of about ten and a half hours between San Francisco and Sacramento with its twin, the Delta Queen, until 1940. It served the Navy on San Francisco Bay during World War II, later sat partly sunk in the bay for 15 months, and was bought and restored by the Coyne family before opening on the Sacramento riverfront as a hotel in April 1989. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The boat's original 88 staterooms were remodeled into 44 hotel rooms, each laid out differently, with river or city views and the former wheelhouse now the Captain's Quarters suite. On board are the Pilothouse Restaurant, the Delta Bar & Grill, a theater and private dining rooms for weddings and meetings.
