Mast Coffee

Mast Coffee has been part of Sacramento's specialty coffee scene since 2012, when Sacramento native Michael Sanchez opened it. He puts hospitality first, and the 17th Street cafe is a warm room with wooden shelves of bagged coffee and a pastry case on the espresso counter. Mast also has a shop on 28th Street.

The Bat & Ball is the drink to order if you like comparing: one coffee served as both a filter cup and an espresso so you can taste it two ways. The Mont Blanc, a cold brew with coconut cold foam and citrus zest, is the most popular drink. Flat whites and lattes come with oat milk if you like, and the food includes toast with house-made jam and soft-boiled eggs.
