Masullo
Land Park neighborhood pizzeria on Riverside Boulevard, with named pies, antipasti, pasta and an Italian-leaning wine list.
About Masullo
Masullo is a neighborhood pizza restaurant on Riverside Boulevard in Land Park. The pies go by people's names: the Margherita and Elisa (Toscano salame, fennel, onion, Pecorino Romano) on the red side, and white pizzas like the Eileen with mushrooms, bacon, cream and sage, or the Mustapha topped with prosciutto di Parma and arugula after it comes out of the oven. There is a vegan, cheeseless Tova, plus seasonal pies such as the Abby with Pink Lady apple and pancetta.
Beyond pizza, the menu has rosemary bread, an antipasto board, burrata with roasted spinach, salads, a daily pasta and pork-and-beef meatballs, with desserts like a lemon posset and an oatmeal-currant ice cream sandwich. Drinks run to local and imported beer, cider and a wine list with Italian reds. It opens at 3 PM most days and at noon on Saturday, closed Monday, and books private events.
