The Golden Pineapple
Hawaiian plate lunches, poke, ramen and California-style deli sandwiches under one roof at 28th and G, from the Kupros Craft House owners.
About The Golden Pineapple
The Golden Pineapple took over the old Sunny's Market corner store at 28th and G Streets and soft-opened in May 2026. It comes from Keegan Currey and Steve Tokuhama, who have run Kupros Craft House on 21st Street since 2010. The building holds two counters, a Hawaiian kitchen on one side and a California-style deli on the other, and you can order from both menus on a single ticket.
The Hawaiian side serves plate lunches with mac salad and rice (BBQ chicken, chicken katsu, kalua pig and cabbage, garlic mahi mahi, Kahuku-style garlic shrimp and a $22 Hawaiian plate with lau lau and lomi salmon), plus rice bowls, poke bowls, ramen, Hawaiian saimin and spam musubi. The deli side makes subs, a pastrami Reuben, a Cali cheesesteak and signature sandos such as chicken or tofu katsu and Japanese egg salad on shokupan. Eat in, pick up or get delivery, and party trays and Ohana meals are available for catering.
