About ZOE Coffee and Tacos
ZOE Coffee and Tacos has been serving Midtown since 2018 (the name means life in Greek) and in 2024 opened at 22nd and S in Poverty Ridge, in a space that once belonged to the Sacramento Bee's delivery truck garage. The room is minimal and friendly, and neighbors walking their dogs stop in for espresso.
Breakfast tacos are the draw: eggs, cheese, potato and bacon on handmade tortillas with homemade salsas from mild to fiery. The menu leans on Salvadoran roots with pupusas and curtido, rotating tamales and weekend posole, plus pastries and vegan and vegetarian options. Coffee comes from Camellia Coffee Roasters, poured as drip, cappuccinos and cortados. ZOE also caters taco bars and Latin-inspired dinners.
