The Sacramento region's first Turkish cafe, with coffee brewed in hot sand, fresh simit, baklava and a long case of lokum.
Antalya Delights & Cafe opened in Rocklin in early 2026 as the area's first Turkish cafe, a family-run spot named for the city on Turkey's Riviera and modeled on the bakeries and coffee houses of Antalya and Istanbul. Owner Eugene Shapishnikov has been known to hand out samples to first-timers.
The draw is Turkish coffee brewed in a cezve over hot sand, plus milder, creamier dibek coffee and a pistachio version. Turkish teas come in apple, mint and lemon, rose and pomegranate, along with salep. To eat there is simit, the sesame bread ring, filled with turkey, cheese or smoked salmon, a simit breakfast plate, and a weekend family-style Turkish breakfast. Sweets include baklava, macarons and lokum in flavors like rose pistachio and pomegranate, sold by the piece or in gift boxes. There is outdoor seating.
