Pachamama Coffee
Farmer-owned organic coffee roaster with a big Midtown coffee bar next to its roastery, pouring single origins from its member co-ops.
About Pachamama Coffee
Pachamama Coffee is a cooperative owned by thousands of smallholder farming families in Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Mexico and Ethiopia. Founded in 2006, it roasts certified organic, shade-grown coffee in California and runs several cafes around Sacramento, plus spots in Davis and Placerville.
The 20th Street cafe opened in 2018 beside the company's production roastery, in a roughly 6,000-square-foot space that doubles as an education and events room. It is home to the Quality Lab, where Pachamama holds coffee classes and weekly tastings of new coffees. The bar rotates single origins as pour-overs and espresso drinks, and baked goods come from local suppliers including Sugar Plum Vegan.
