Temple Coffee Roasters
Sacramento's homegrown specialty roaster since 2005, with custom-profiled single origins served at its downtown 9th Street cafe.
About Temple Coffee Roasters
Temple Coffee started in 2005, when founder and barista Sean Kohmescher opened his first coffee house after a long stay in Indonesia, aiming for a community gathering place modeled on the temples he visited. It has since grown to nine coffee houses across Sacramento, Fair Oaks, Davis and Folsom, all supplied by its own roastery.
Every coffee gets its own roast profile, refined through repeated cuppings by the roasting team, and Temple buys through a farm-to-cup model that pays well above Fair Trade prices and favors growers practicing water conservation and shade management. The 9th Street shop downtown is a modern counter-and-seating cafe a few blocks from the Capitol, open from early morning to early evening.
