The Boiling Crab
Cajun-style seafood boil restaurant on K Street downtown, serving crab, shrimp and crawfish by the pound in bags with your pick of sauce and spice.
About The Boiling Crab
The Boiling Crab is a Cajun seafood restaurant at 1000 K Street, across from the Crest Theatre and a few blocks from Golden 1 Center. Ordering works in three steps: pick your seafood by the pound (blue, Dungeness, snow or king crab, lobster, shrimp, crawfish, clams or mussels), pick a flavor (Rajun Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter or the Whole Sha-Bang, which mixes all three), then pick a spice level from non-spicy to XXX. It all arrives steamed or boiled in a bag, and you can add corn, sausage, potatoes or eggs.
There is also a fried menu with baskets of catfish, shrimp, scallops and softshell crab, plus wings, gumbo and Cajun fries. The K Street location has a full cocktail list with margaritas, mules and a michelada, along with beer. There is an outdoor patio, the restaurant takes large groups and office parties, and to-go and delivery orders are available. A second Sacramento location is on 65th Street in south Sacramento.
