La Bou Bakery and Cafe
Downtown outpost of Sacramento's homegrown bakery-cafe since 1982, with breakfast sandwiches, paninis, daily soups and espresso.
About La Bou Bakery and Cafe
La Bou is a Sacramento bakery-cafe chain that began in 1982, when owner Trong Nguyen's handmade croissants drew people to his first shop. It has grown to about a dozen locations around the region, including this one on 11th Street near the Capitol. It's a quick stop for downtown workers, and the La Bou Delivers catering arm has handled office orders since 1999.
Breakfast covers egg sandwiches (bacon, ham, sausage or basil-tomato), a breakfast burrito, bagels and oatmeal. At lunch there are cold sandwiches like the La Bou Club and avocado club, hot paninis, salads and a soup that changes daily. Espresso drinks and cookies round out the menu.
