Little Whale Swim School

Little Whale Swim School teaches year-round lessons in custom-built indoor pools, with its Land Park location on Broadway and a second school on El Camino Avenue in Arden. Owner Anya Hall has more than 40 years in the swim industry, and the curriculum is built around child development, safety and technique, starting with balance, breath control and buoyancy.

Classes are 30 minutes once a week. Baby and Me (2 to 16 months) and Toddler and Me (16 to 36 months) put a caregiver in the water with each child, and Levels 1 through 4 run four students per teacher for ages 3 to 5, 6 to 10, teens and adults, from first comfort in the water to freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Tuition is $120 a month. Enrolled families can also join weekly Family Swim practice times, and adaptive aquatics (with a caregiver or one-on-one) are offered for students with special needs, with ALTA Regional funding accepted.
