Old Soul Co.
Old Soul's original Midtown cafe, tucked in an alley warehouse where the company still bakes its bread and roasts its coffee.
About Old Soul Co.
The Alley is where Old Soul Co. started in 2006, when founders Tim and Jason took over a brick-and-timber storage warehouse once used by the Eppie's restaurant chain and turned it into a bakery and coffee bar. For its first year, coffee and pastries were $2 each, paid on the honor system into a cash jar.
The building still houses Old Soul's roasting and baking operations, with bakers working overnight to supply bread and pastries to every Old Soul cafe. Expect espresso drinks and drip from Old Soul's own roasts, fresh-baked goods and a food menu built on local farmers and purveyors. The space also hosts classes and can be rented for private events in the evenings.
