The Mill
The Mill's original Midtown cafe, pouring its own small-batch coffee and teas blended in house, a few blocks from the Saturday farmers market.
About The Mill
The Mill Coffee Roasting & Tea Studio is a family business started in 2013 by Nick, a specialty coffee professional, and Ilah, an artist. It began as a coffee stall at the Saturday farmers market in Midtown, and the I Street cafe followed in 2014, about three blocks from the market. A second cafe in East Sacramento, near Sac State, now houses the roastery and tea studio.
The Mill has roasted its own coffee since 2017, working with fresh-crop beans in small batches, and blends its own teas and herbals in the studio, including producer-direct matcha. Expect a short list of house blends and single origins on espresso and pour-over, a tea menu that goes well beyond the usual, and waffles to go with your espresso at this Midtown shop. Beans and teas are also sold online and to wholesale accounts around town.
